Satellite Analyst

Leidos is seeking an experienced Satellite Analyst to support critical intelligence collection operations utilizing advanced collection systems. This operations team has received one of the Intelligence Community's highest awards and has been recognized as a Leidos Team of the Year.

The Satellite Analyst will research and analyze satellite activity, maintain accurate and timely tracking of satellites of interest, assess changes in the threat environment, and produce time-sensitive intelligence in support of customer collection objectives.

- Research intelligence databases and reporting to maintain accurate and timely tracking and analysis of satellites of interest.
- Analyze satellite activity, patterns, anomalies, and changes relevant to customer collection and operational objectives.
- Integrate intelligence reporting and other data sources to maintain situational awareness of satellites and space-based systems of interest.
- Identify and assess changes or emerging threats within the operational environment.
- Produce and disseminate time-sensitive intelligence products, assessments, and standardized reporting.
- Analyze large datasets and identify and correct discrepancies or inaccuracies in analytical reporting.
- Coordinate with customer offices and Intelligence Community partners in support of collection objectives.
- Support occasional off-nominal and weekend hours based on mission requirements. Shift differential pay is provided under qualifying circumstances.
- Support occasional short-duration CONUS travel. No overseas deployment is required.

Basic Qualifications

- Current/active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of recent Intelligence Community or Department of Defense experience.
- Experience supporting satellite analysis, satellite tracking, space operations, space-domain awareness, orbital analysis, space-based ISR/collection, or a closely related space mission.
- Experience researching and analyzing satellite or space-system activity using intelligence databases, operational data, technical reporting, or other relevant sources.
- Experience identifying patterns, anomalies, changes, or threats associated with satellites or the space operational environment.
- Experience producing intelligence assessments, operational reporting, or other time-sensitive analytical products.
- Experience analyzing and reconciling large or complex datasets.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Desired Qualifications

- Degree in engineering, aerospace, physics, mathematics, computer science, or related STEM field.
- Working knowledge of Satellite Tool Kit (STK) or comparable satellite/orbital analysis tools.
- Knowledge of orbital characteristics, satellite operations, satellite capabilities, or space-based collection systems.
- Experience supporting advanced technical collection systems or space-based intelligence collection operations.
- Experience developing or improving analytical tools, databases, automated reporting, or data-quality processes.

## Pay Range:
Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
