The Senior Rooms Manager leads the daily operations of Housekeeping, including laundry, and Front Office, including reservations, front desk, and bell services, at Dellshire Resort. This position is accountable for clean and ready guest rooms, accurate reservations and room inventory, efficient arrivals and departures, and a consistent guest experience throughout the stay.

The Senior Rooms Manager develops department leaders and team members, manages labor and operating expenses, and coordinates closely with Engineering, Sales, Revenue Management, Security, and other resort departments. The role combines hands-on operational leadership with planning, performance review, and service improvement.

What You’ll Do

Rooms Leadership & Team Development

- Lead and coordinate Housekeeping and laundry operations, along with reservations, front desk, and bell services; set clear service, cleanliness, and productivity expectations for each team.
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate managers, supervisors, and team members; support succession planning and address performance concerns promptly and consistently.
- Build schedules and staffing plans around occupancy, group arrivals, seasonality, and business demand while maintaining appropriate service coverage.
- Maintain and improve departmental procedures, training, shift handoffs, and communication across Rooms functions.

Guest Experience & Daily Operations

- Oversee reservations accuracy, room assignments, check-in and check-out, guest requests, luggage assistance, and service recovery.
- Coordinate room status, inspections, cleaning priorities, and out-of-order rooms with Housekeeping, Front Office, and Engineering to meet arrival commitments.
- Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet resort standards for cleanliness, presentation, and safety.
- Respond to escalated guest concerns, investigate recurring issues, and follow through with guests and affected departments.
- Review arrivals, departures, occupancy, VIP and group needs, room inventory, and guest feedback; adjust daily priorities as needed.

Financial Performance, Systems & Compliance

- Prepare and monitor Rooms labor plans, budgets, payroll, supplies, linen and amenity inventory, and cost controls in partnership with resort leadership.
- Track operating measures such as room readiness, housekeeping productivity, guest satisfaction, service recovery, and cost per occupied room; act on trends.
- Partner with Sales and Revenue Management on room inventory, reservation controls, group blocks, and demand forecasts; communicate operational constraints and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and effective use of the property management system, reservations tools, and Housekeeping systems.
- Ensure teams follow company policies, safety procedures, security practices, and applicable requirements, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned and support resort-wide operations during high-volume periods or service disruptions.

What are we looking for?

Who You Are

- Five or more years of progressive hotel or resort Rooms leadership experience, including direct responsibility for both Front Office and Housekeeping operations.
- Experience leading managers or supervisors and developing teams in a full-service hotel or resort environment.
- Working knowledge of reservations, room inventory, property management systems, housekeeping operations, labor planning, and departmental budgets.
- Ability to analyze operating reports, set priorities across departments, and resolve guest and team concerns with sound judgment.
- Strong communication, coaching, organization, and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
