Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Chief Nursing Officer, you will serve as a strategic leader dedicated to elevating nursing practice across our hospital and integrated business entities. You will be responsible for defining the vision of our clinical excellence, ensuring that all nursing standards remain consistent, compassionate, and evidence-based while driving organizational goals to provide superior patient outcomes and world-class healthcare delivery.

Every day you will oversee the full lifecycle of nursing operations, including the deployment of nursing policies, departmental objectives, and clinical initiatives. Your routine will involve rigorous operational auditing to ensure full regulatory compliance, evaluating performance metrics to identify gaps in care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize workflows, improve patient safety protocols, and sustain a high-performance clinical environment.

To be successful in this role, you will bring extensive experience in nursing administration, a comprehensive understanding of healthcare compliance and regulatory standards, and the ability to drive large-scale organizational change. We are looking for a visionary leader with a background in clinical quality improvement who demonstrates exceptional decision-making, staff mentorship skills, and a steadfast commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care throughout our hospital network.

Key Responsibilities:

- Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of staff, materials, and finances to ensure the efficient operation of the nursing department.

- Strategic Planning: Direct all nursing activities and develop department-wide policies, objectives, and operational initiatives.

- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Monitor departmental operations to ensure strict adherence to clinical standards and regulatory requirements.

- Patient Care Delivery: Drive the provision of high-quality, cost-effective nursing care throughout the facility.

- Performance Oversight: Supervise nursing staff performance to maintain clinical excellence and professional standards.

- Professional Development: Lead competency training and coordinate ongoing process improvement and quality enhancement efforts.

Job Requirements

Required:

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA).

- Minimum of ten (10) years of nursing experience and five (5) years of nurse leadership experience.

- Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA. (Compact license not accepted.)
