Legal Solutions Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of AI-enabled legal solutions, applications, and technology initiatives.
- Partner with lawyers, business stakeholders, Product Managers, and Engineers to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and success metrics.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions that meet business and user requirements.
- Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, budgets, risks, and issue resolution across multiple workstreams. Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirements gathering sessions, status updates, and governance meetings.
- Support pilot programs, user acceptance testing, rollout activities, and adoption initiatives.
- Track and report project progress, benefits realization, risks, and opportunities to leadership stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes, governance, and change management practices.
- Ensure solutions are implemented in alignment with security, compliance, risk, and responsible AI requirements.

Skills and Experience

- Experience managing technology, legal technology, AI, digital transformation, or business process projects within a law firm, professional services, or corporate environment.
- Strong project management expertise, including planning, resource coordination, risk management, and stakeholder communications.
- Understanding of legal workflows, legal operations, knowledge management, or professional services delivery models.
- Experience working with software development, product, and engineering teams using Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting technology adoption, change management, and user engagement activities.
- PMP, Prince2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project management certification is desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, legal AI platforms, document automation, or knowledge management solutions.
- Understanding of responsible AI, information governance, privacy, and regulatory considerations.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York and California or reporting to someone in those states, Freshfields is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the States of New York and California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,000 to $160,000.
