- Promote MUFG’s suite of products and services by analysing client requirements and collaborating with product managers to deliver tailored solutions.
- Lead communications with clients regarding transaction execution, documentation processes, KYC requirements, and day-to-day operational matters.
- Monitor client business progress and financial status through regular reporting, industry Q&A sessions, and timely responses to customer requests.
- Arrange joint visits with product managers or supporting departments to strengthen client engagement and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions by logging visit details in call reports and preparing memoranda for management on business development activities.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of pipeline transactions with customers, internal stakeholders, legal teams, and credit divisions to ensure compliance with approval standards.
- Build strong networks within JCIB Oceania & APAC by fostering an inclusive team spirit and sharing customer insights with analysts for effective portfolio management.
- Support front office risk identification and control initiatives by adhering to bank policies, guidelines, regulatory standards for Australia and New Zealand, and participating in credit audits.
What you bring:
To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise in finance or accounting along with outstanding interpersonal skills. Your background should include hands-on experience managing corporate clients where you have demonstrated your ability to navigate complex transactions while maintaining meticulous records.
- Analyst (1 to 3 years’) / Associate (4 to 7 years’) demonstrated experience in corporate finance, investment banking or chartered accounting environments where you have managed complex client relationships.
- Undergraduate qualification in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Law; additional credentials such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or MBA are highly regarded.
- Strong negotiation abilities supported by sound knowledge of financial products, transaction processing protocols, credit management principles, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience liaising with legal firms or internal legal departments on documentation matters related to credit approvals is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills that enable you to build trust-based relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds while communicating clearly across language barriers.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for preparing reports, presentations, financial analyses, and documentation required for internal approvals.
- A collaborative mindset that supports knowledge sharing within teams; willingness to train others or step into analyst duties during high-volume periods or staff absences.
