Lead. Deliver. Transform.

Are you an experienced Project Manager who thrives on taking ownership, solving   problems   and seeing projects   through from   concept to completion?

Travel + Leisure Co.   is   seeking   a highly motivated   Project Manager – Hotel   Refurbishment & Projects   to join our Refurbishment & Projects team and deliver a diverse portfolio of hotel,   resort   and commercial refurbishment projects across Australia and internationally.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in transforming our resort portfolio and delivering projects that directly enhance   the guest   experience.

The Opportunity

This is a   hands-on, end-to-end project delivery role .

You will take responsibility for assigned refurbishment and capital projects from   initial   scoping and feasibility through design, procurement, construction,   commissioning   and final handover to Resort Operations.

Working closely with Resort Managers, internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors,   suppliers   and trades, you will   be responsible for   delivering projects safely, efficiently, on time and within approved budgets.

You will be expected to take ownership of your projects,   identify   issues early, develop   solutions   and drive delivery rather than simply administer the process.

What   you’ll   be doing

- Lead refurbishment and construction projects from   inception   through to   completion and operational handover.

- Develop project scopes, budgets,   programmes   and procurement strategies.

- Engage and manage architects, engineers, consultants, contractors,   suppliers   and specialist trades.

- Prepare and manage tenders,   quotations   and construction contracts.

- Negotiate commercial outcomes and manage contractor performance.

- Monitor project costs, commitments,   forecasts   and variations.

- Identify   opportunities for value engineering and cost savings.

- Manage construction   programmes   and critical path activities.

- Conduct regular site inspections and   maintain   a hands-on understanding of project progress.
- Coordinate   works   within operational hotels and resorts while   minimising   disruption to guests and Resort Operations.

- Manage quality, safety, compliance,   defects   and practical completion.

- Resolve construction issues, latent   conditions   and project risks.

- Provide   accurate   project reporting,   forecasting   and financial control.

- Successfully hand over completed projects to Resort Operations.

About You

You are a   self-starter who takes ownership .

You   don’t   wait for problems to resolve   themselves   and you   don’t   need to be constantly directed. You are comfortable making decisions, coordinating multiple   stakeholders   and driving projects forward in challenging environments.

You will ideally bring:

- Proven experience delivering refurbishment and construction projects from   inception   to completion.

- Strong hotel, resort, hospitality, commercial or accommodation refurbishment experience.

- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, building   practices   and project delivery.

- Strong tendering,   procurement   and contract administration experience.

- Demonstrated commercial and budget management capability.

- Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants,   suppliers   and trades.

- Strong planning,   programming   and   organisational   skills.

- Excellent communication,   negotiation   and stakeholder management skills.

- A practical,   solutions -focused approach.

- High attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.

- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with a broader team .

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction, Building, Engineering, Architecture, Project   Management   or a related discipline are desirable; equivalent industry experience will be considered.

National & International Travel

Travel is an essential part of this role.

The successful candidate must be comfortable undertaking   significant national and international travel , including extended periods working on site at resorts and project locations.

This is not a traditional office-based Project Manager role. You will need to be comfortable being where the project is, sometimes for extended periods, and working closely with Resort Operations,   contractors   and trades to achieve successful project outcomes.

Why join us?

You’ll   join a team delivering a significant portfolio of refurbishment and capital projects across a leading global vacation ownership and resort organisation.

You will have the opportunity to:

- Work on a diverse portfolio of resort and hospitality projects.

- Take genuine ownership of projects from start to finish.

- Work across Australia and internationally.

- Collaborate with experienced property, development,   procurement   and resort teams.

- Make a tangible difference to the guest experience.

- Be part of a business that puts the world on vacation.

If   you’re   a commercially minded, hands-on Project Manager who enjoys being accountable for getting things done,   we’d   love to hear from you.

Apply now and tell us about the refurbishment projects   you’ve   delivered and the outcomes you achieved.
