About this role

EMS is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in maintaining optimal warehouse performance by coordinating shipping and receiving activities. Ask about our sign-on bonus!

Position Summary:

Manage warehouse resources in support of business requirements.  Responsible for normal and exception outbound processing to ensure customer orders are shipped accurately.   Assist in other areas in logistics.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare/package materials for shipment to outside processing or customers
- Fill orders or requisitions for materials by locating, retrieving, unpackaging and kitting or delivering materials to plant locations.
- Verify correctness of shipments against bills of lading, invoices or other records.
- Check for shortages and reject damaged goods.
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks and movement of materials to storage locations.
- Maintain an acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in the area.
- Receive materials, equipment, merchandise and similar items in a storeroom or warehouse.
- Store items in high/low bay racks, in bins or on the floor.  Includes marking or tagging items for identification.
- Complete Oracle / Maximo inventory and other ERP transactions.
- Safely operate a fork lift truck, overhead crane or other material handling equipment
- Prepare records of goods shipped by making bills of lading, posting weight and shipping charges and maintaining shipping records
- Wear all required PPE at all times.
- Other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

- High School or Equivalency Diploma
- 4-6 years in outbound-transportation environment/export experience
- Previous lead experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in high pressure environment with minimal oversight
- Knowledge of personal computers and associated business software and ability to learn Oracle transactions
