About this role

Role Purpose

Responsible for writing body shop damage estimates, negotiating with customers/insurance adjusters, and all related accounting functions, while performing other income-related activities in the absence of the body shop manager.

Core Accountabilities

- Greet customers promptly and give fair estimates on cost and time required for bodywork. Break down estimates into labor and parts before job is started.

- Follow standard operating procedures with DRP programs.

- Schedule appointments and transportation for customers with rental agency and/or Hoffman shuttle service.

- Document daily in CCC1 & DealerTrack.

- Communicate effectively with customer/insurance/technician throughout the repair process. Prepare supplements and obtain insurance company approval in a timely fashion.

- Revise and approve time allowances for each job.

- Follow-up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability. Keep track of returned parts, credits, etc.

- Answer phone calls, set up appointments, and take messages as necessary.

- Monitor quality control throughout the repair process.

- Follow all policies and procedures as designated by the Hoffman Auto Group Privacy Act policy.

- Prepare final billing for completed repair orders. Perform cashiering duties, along with accounts receivable follow up. Maintain accounts receivables below sixty (60) days.

- Meet training requirements.

Qualifications

Competencies and Qualifications

- Appraisers license required

- High School Diploma

- 1-2 years experience in a customer service orientated environment preferred

- Can adapt and embrace change with an internal and external customer centric mindset

- Act as an advocate for teammates and have a strong commitment to technology advancement

- Possesses effective communication skills: oral, written, listening.

- Works well with customers, promotes a positive image of the company, strives to solve issues raised by customers.
