About this role
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Driver is responsible for driving the 32’ food truck and/or produce truck to and from service destinations and special events, working with the Director to assist in the preparation and delivery of food to our patrons.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drive the 32’ food truck and/or produce truck to service destinations and special events.
- Assist in stocking the food truck and/or produce truck for daily operations or special events. Assist during events as needed.
- Washing all Metro vans and trucks.
- Taking vehicles in for scheduled maintenance and repair.
- Transporting staff to events as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience driving a delivery truck or food truck.
Skills/Abilities
- Excellent driving skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work well with a team or independently.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Provide a safe experience for individuals experiencing hunger, addiction and/or health concerns by treating them with dignity, empathy and respect.
