The Opportunity

Factor is a healthy, ready-to-heat meal delivery service that has built a category-defining business in the US and Canada. Now we're building Factor in Europe — and although we have strong blueprints from North America, we have the opportunity to leverage the very rich multi-cultural environment in Europe to tailor both our physical and digital products to five different markets.

As our Director, Product , you will own the full product vision and execution for Factor Europe. You will lead a multi-layered team of ~10 people, sit on the Factor Europe leadership team, and maintain a close dotted-line relationship with our CMO to ensure product and marketing move as one.

This is a rare kind of role: senior strategic ownership and real infrastructure, with the pace and ambition of an early-stage scale up. If you are a visionary builder who leads with curiosity, earns conviction through data, and holds your team to the same high standard you hold yourself — we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

- Lead and Develop a High-Performance Product Team

- Build, inspire, and manage a multi-disciplinary team — setting a clear vision, establishing the operating rhythms that allow the team to move fast, and investing in the people who will drive Factor Europe's next chapter.

- Own and Challenge the Product Vision

- Define a clear and compelling vision for what Factor's physical product must become in Europe — grounded in customer insight, commercially rigorous, and differentiated enough to win. Develop a deep, independent point of view on where the North American model translates and where European markets demand something different.

- Push the team and the business to think beyond the current roadmap — challenging assumptions, interrogating trade-offs, and ensuring we are always working on the highest-leverage version of the product.

- Act as the liaison to our global Digital Product team — representing Factor Europe's priorities in the feature roadmap and collaborating on shared global initiatives that benefit the wider business.

- Drive Customer Retention and Commercial Performance

- Own customer retention levers as your north star. Build a rigorous, evidence-based view of what drives it and rally the team around interventions that move the needle.

- Make product decisions with full awareness of their P&L implications. Take calculated risks, track outcomes honestly, and move quickly to learn and adjust when bets don't pay off.

- Build for Multiple European Markets

- Lead our effort to find product-market fit across five distinct markets — understanding how consumer preferences vary by culture, and building a proposition that resonates locally while scaling efficiently.

- Share learnings across geographies and partner with peers across the HelloFresh Group to continuously raise the bar.

- Support new channel strategies, understanding and adapting products for different customer bases.

- Align Product and Marketing Strategy

- Work closely with the brand & marketing team to ensure product roadmap and marketing strategies are fully synchronised — so what we build, how we talk about it, and how we sell it form one coherent proposition.

- Act as the product voice on the leadership team, articulating a compelling vision for where the product needs to go and why.

Who You Are

- A visionary leader who executes. You set a compelling direction, bring your team with you, and roll up your sleeves to make it happen.

- Customer-obsessed and analytically rigorous. Sharp instincts backed by disciplined discovery. Comfortable querying your own data and stress-testing assumptions.

- Commercially minded. You understand how product decisions flow through to the P&L — and hold yourself accountable to outcomes, not just outputs.

- A cross-functional influencer. You build trust quickly, drive execution through others, and get the right priorities onto other teams' roadmaps.

- Internationally curious. You find the complexity of building for multiple European cultures energising, and you seek out the nuances that matter.

- An exceptional communicator. You write and present with clarity and conviction — from strategy narratives to leadership updates to product briefs.

- Food and/or nutrition obsessed!

Requirements

- Experience: 8–10+ years in Product, Strategy, or a closely related commercial leadership role; 3+ years managing multi-disciplinary teams.

- Technical toolkit: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; AI proficiency and curiosity required.

○ Multi-market European experience and an understanding of how consumer preferences vary across the continent.

○ Experience in physical products or FMCG, especially food & beverage.

○ A track record of scaling a product in a new market and finding product-market fit.
