Job Description:
DUTIES : Under general supervision, the Custodian will be responsi ble for housekeeping duties on the Oconee Fall Line Technical College Dublin Campus . Performs a variety of routine duties such as cleaning floors, windows, fixtures, stairs, restrooms and doors. Custodian must know the regulations on safety measures. Able to reco gnize cleaning agent/materials. Operate floor machines (buffers, carpet extractors, vacuum cleaners, etc. ) Maintain orderly appearance in all storage areas. Responsible for appearance/cleanliness of specified areas . Must be able to lift, push, or pull 25-50 lbs. Flexibility in work schedule and may be required to work evening and weekend hours .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma or equivalency . Valid driver's license . P REFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Three years of custodial experience.
COMPETENCIES: Knowledge and skills in the use of custodial tools and methods. Knowledge of safety guidelines. Knowledge of college policies and procedures . Good written and verbal communication skills . The ability to read and comprehend is very important because all cleaning chemicals give warning s plus what to do in case of an emergency. Must have and maintain a valid drive r’s license.
