About this role
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform diagnosis, repair and maintenance of fleet including electrical and brakes
- Air brakes diagnostics and repairs.
- Diagnosing, repairing, or replacing electrical and air systems on trailers; body and rail repairs.
- Write itemized "story" to summarize each repair performed.
- Follow all DOT, State & Federal requirements and company standards.
- Use effective interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
- Good mechanical aptitude and work ethic needed
- Contribute to the goals of the shop, leadership team and company
- Properly clocks on and off applicable repair orders and repair segments.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
- 2-5 years of mechanic experience on heavy-duty trucks
- Must have a Valid Driver's License
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Regularly required to use hands to handle materials, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
- Regularly lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
