FLSA Status: EXEMPT – This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Job Summary:
Manages the daily operations of Diversus Healths environmental services operations and custodial services with heavy emphasis on customer service, safety and quality.
Essential Functions:
- Manages the daily operations of Diversus Healths environmental and custodial services.
- Oversees the interviewing and onboarding process of new staff members; assures completion of new hire training within thirty (30) days of hire.
- Partners with leadership in the development and implementation of workflows and/or processes.
- Develops staff schedules to meet coverage demands and expectations; ensures relief coverage is met.
- Tracks and submits employee time records.
- Performs daily shift inspections and completes required documentation.
- Provides feedback on employee performance; conducts evaluations as outlined by the organization.
- Addresses and resolves customer complaints
- Ensures that staff are aware of and utilize standard safety practices
- Ensures adequate disinfection practices are implemented and enforced.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors to ensure contracts are effectively managed, and service agreements are upheld.
- Collaborates with managers and/or Director in the monitoring and tracking of supplies and PPE usage.
- Perform routine site inspections and customer relations to include custodial, safety, grounds, lighting, and general appearance.
- Provide Point of Contact (P.O.C.) for staff, contractors, vendors and inspections to assist in facilities related functions as required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Five (5) years custodial experience, required.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience, strongly preferred.
- Valid Drivers License with MVR that complies with organizational insurance requirements.
- Working knowledge of floor care equipment usage.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience in Custodial Quality Assurance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
- Ability to work flexible shifts.
- Experience in estimating and project start-ups.
