About this role
Transportation Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Arrange for and make resident appointments and transportation for diagnostic and therapeutic services, i.e., lab, x-ray, etc. Answer telephone, route calls, and direct visitors to resident rooms.
- Assist in admitting, transfer and discharge of residents including arrangement of transportation, belongings and escorting to discharge/transfer area.
- Ability to assure that all medical record information is protected physically and kept confidential according to HIPPA.
- Ability to assist the Medical Records Designee, as necessary. Does all things necessary for the residents health, safety and welfare.
- Perform other related duties as directed by nursing or administrative supervision.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and behaviors, while contributing to the overall success of the company. All other activities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Transportation Coordinator Qualifications:
- Must have excellent computer skills and a strong background in medical terminology.
- Must be able to multi-task.
