Master Machining is seeking an experienced Swiss Machinist to join our team at our sister facility Gen Metal Finishing in Valdese, NC.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up, programming, and operating Swiss-style machines and will be comfortable working independently while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

- Set up, program, and operate Swiss-style machines.

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, job travelers, and specifications.

- Manufacture parts to required dimensions and tolerances.

- Inspect completed parts using appropriate precision measuring equipment.

- Make necessary machine and tooling adjustments to maintain quality.

- Monitor tool wear and replace inserts, tooling, and other components as needed.

- Load material, tooling, and fixtures as required.

- Troubleshoot machining and production issues.

- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area.

- Complete required production and quality documentation.

- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

- Assist with additional machining or production needs as required.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3–5 years of Swiss machining experience preferred.

- Previous experience setting up and operating Swiss-style equipment required.

- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.

- Experience working with tight tolerances.

- Proficient with precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work independently and maintain consistent production quality.

- Strong attendance, reliability, and work ethic.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet production deadlines.

- Willingness to work overtime or Saturdays when production needs require it.

- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle materials and components associated with the position.

Compensation:

Pay is based on experience and demonstrated Swiss machining capabilities. $20-26/hr
