About this role

Job Purpose:
- The Behavioral Tech III at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing advanced support and care to individuals with behavioral health needs. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and support to clients during Shift 1. The position requires a compassionate and professional approach to assist clients in achieving their treatment goals and improving their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support clients through direct observation and interaction, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans and treatment protocols as directed by clinical staff.
- Assist in the development and facilitation of therapeutic activities and group sessions.
- Document client behavior, progress, and any incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of client care strategies.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed, following established protocols.
- Support the onboarding and training of new staff members by sharing expertise and knowledge.
- Continuously update skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
- Proven track record of managing and supporting clients with diverse behavioral health needs.
- Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and timely documentation and case notes.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and ethical standards in behavioral health services.
- Competency in utilizing technology and electronic health records for client management.
