CSO- Cashier

General Position Summary:

Processes all cash transactions while providing Spectacular Customer Service. Performs duties in accordance with applicable gaming regulations and policies and procedures.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

- Performs all duties within the rules and regulations of Cage Slots Operations consistent with employee handbook

- Receives and exchanges cash, checks, gift certificates, gaming chips, slot tickets, and other vouchers from guests

- Maintains physical custody of the Cashiers inventory of currency, coins, tokens, forms, documents and records transactions accurately at a cashier station or working on the gaming floor

- Handles fill and credit transactions

- Processes cash advances and check cashing

- Maintains payroll check cashing registry

- Performs all duties in accordance with our spectacular customer service standards

- Responsible for signing in and out necessary keys for assigned shift

- Performs basic troubleshooting on Player Terminals when rotated to floor

- Cashes out jackpots under the direct supervision of the Supervisor/Cashier

- Effectively, efficiently and professionally communicates with coworkers using electronic media

Secondary Functions:

- Responds to customer questions and disputes

- Ensures that all player terminals are serviced in a timely manner

- Maintains floor cleanliness to project a positive image

- Serves as a cashier/floor attendant breaker when assigned

- May disburse prepared bank rolls

- Communicates via telephone for technical assistance regarding the check cashing system and credit card advances

- Other duties as assigned

Specific Skills:

- Completes large volume cash transactions and documents regularly and accurately

- Demonstrates good problem-solving skills, including handling stressful situations and guest disputes

- Excellent math skills

- Excellent customer service Ability to work well with guests and other employees

- Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally

- Good attendance habits

- Public relations skills

- Ability to follow directions

- Ability to trouble shoot basic gaming machine functions

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED Required. Cash handling experience preferred. Minimum of two (2) years large volume cash handling experience is preferred, coupled with a fast-paced business environment.

Job Conditions:

Conditions include working in a crowded, loud, smoke-filled environment. Guest interactions may become stressful. Conditions will also include frequent interruptions and working evenings, weekends and holidays, including working a rotating schedule.

Physical Requirements:

Manual and finger dexterity for operation of computers, works in a confine space within gaming machinery and cash process equipment. Ability to lift 25 lbs. and requires to sit and or stand for extend periods of time.
