About this role
The Kinkaid School is seeking an experienced Adjunct Boys Varsity Tennis Head Coach. This is a part-time, seasonal position for an assignment that begins in late January, 2027 and goes through early May, 2027.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for team selection of Boys Varsity Tennis Team, including logistics, communication, and facilitating tryouts
- Coordinate and runs practice
- Attend scheduled matches, which are mostly weekdays and some Saturdays
- Coordinate challenges and tennis rankings of the team
- Help Program Head with scheduling and directing the assistant coaches, as needed
- Develop student-athletes' tennis skills and strategies
- Model the Teacher-Coach-Mentor philosophy
- Keep and submit lineups and communicate any changes to the team
- Maintain and facilitate communication with student-athletes and parents
Qualifications
- Demonstrated Knowledge of Team and Individual Tennis
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Tennis coaching experience (secondary school)
- Commitment to education-based athletic program
