Medical Assistant -PRN
Provides general nursing care to patients in a clinical setting. Responsible for administering treatments, documenting care, educating patients, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments within scope of practice.
- Monitor patient responses and notify providers of any changes or concerns.
- Accurately and timely document all patient care in the electronic health record.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized patient and family education plans.
- Manage patient care plans according to individual needs.
- Maintain clinical competencies and follow standards applicable to specialty area.
- Adhere strictly to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Communicate clinical information professionally with providers and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant (MA) program with State Certification
- 3–6 months of related clinical experience preferred
