Job Description:

Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Full-Time 7:30a - 4p

The position includes after-hours on-call responsibilities and a rotating weekend schedule. Employees must also be able to remain within 30 minutes of the hospital while on-call.

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.

- Planning, assessing, intervening, and evaluating the care of patient with an outcome focused approach from the initial assessment of patient, routine on-going assessment, implemented interventions as indicated, until and through the discharge of the patient, involving the patient, family, provider, and other members of the care team.
- Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care.
- Follows the professional standards of care.
- Applies evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices.
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize care based on changing assessment and needs of patients.
- Having ongoing communication with physicians and other departments in the hospital.

Requirements:

- Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred upon hire and required within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred upon hire and required within 90 days of hire.
- Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Recent experience in specialty or Critical Care preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
