As a DSP, youll work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), supporting daily routines, community involvement, and personal goals in a way that is engaging, respectful, and empowering.

What Youll Do

- Support daily routines (cooking, cleaning, personal care with the client)

- Help clients get into the community and stay engaged

- Follow care plans and goals

- Communicate with families and your team

- Complete notes and documentation

- Ensure safety and well-being at all times

Current Clients Needing Additional Support

Client 1 (Beaverton):

- Female | 18 yrs | 97007

- Schedule: Looking for help on the weekends- Saturday 2-8pm. Also weekdays from 2-3pm

- Likes: Her family, iPad, videos, she likes to play independently, work, draw, art and bubbles. She likes the freedom to explore her world. She likes badminton and vocally singing to herself.

- Needs: She needs help increasing her independence in the community with 2:1 support. Help with behavior redirection, encouragement for movement and exercise and help attending her activities such as art class. Help using her AAC device, hygiene, toileting routines and basic household tasks.

Requirements

- 18+ years old

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 1+ year of caregiving or related experience

- Valid drivers license, insurance, and reliable transportation

- Smartphone required

- Must be able to successfully pass all state-required background checks and meet all ODDS employment eligibility requirements.

- CPR/First Aid/AED (or willing to obtain)
