As a Clinical Supervisor - IN, you’ll work directly with individuals to assess their needs, develop personalized care plans, and connect them with essential services and supports. Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervises, manages and oversees staff, including hiring, firing and providing performance evaluations, including and individual development goals and objectives.
- Provides direct clinical services to consumers as necessary to assist the clinical team.
- Coordinates assignment of the clinical team to consumers.
- Identifies problematic cases and refers them to the Clinical Manager
- Reviews the clinical team documentation per agency guidelines to ensure that appropriate follow-up standards are met.
- Participates in quality improvement activities, such as chart audits and project teams.
- Participates in hiring and orientating Case Managers and other professional staff as needed.
- Attends all meetings and training sessions as assigned.
- Educates, counsels, evaluates, and manages performance of the clinical team.
- Maintains/updates knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, insurance and program specific administered waivers.
- Maintains knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Adheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.
- Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.
- Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Maintains minimum educational and experience requirements of the specific program.
- Completes all training curriculums and professional development requirements as specified by the assigned program.
- Possesses integrity, self-discipline, with the ability to work independently within guidelines.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, insurance and waiver programs and community resources.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail in assessment and in documentation.
Ability to instruct, counsel and evaluate subordinate professional staff.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects and be attentive to detail.
- Effective interpersonal skills with respect for others, including consumers, co-workers and other professionals within a diverse work environment.
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and flexibility in relationship to job requirements.
- Computer skills sufficient to enter and process consumer information, report preparation, and use CareStar’s website and email, and familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office programs.
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance as required by State law.
