Major Events Security Officer

At MSS Security, we deliver security services across some of the country’s most high-profile major events. We are currently seeking confident, customer-focused Security Officers to join our Major Events team in Melbourne.

No prior security experience? No problem. If you have strong customer service skills, excellent communication, and thrive in fast-paced environments, we want to hear from you.

As a Major Events Security Officer, you will play a key role in delivering a safe and positive experience for patrons, staff, and stakeholders across a variety of major events and venues.

You will be responsible for:

- Providing exceptional customer service
- Managing crowd control and patron interactions
- Monitoring and responding to incidents
- Maintaining clear and professional radio communication
- De-escalating situations calmly and confidently in high-pressure environments

To be successful in this role, you must have:

- A valid Security Licence with Crowd Control
- Certificate II in Security Operations or higher
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Full Australian working rights
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- A confident, professional, and calm approach under pressure
- Strong customer service experience
- Must be willing to travel across Melbourne event locations

Flexibility is critical in Major Events. You must be available for:

- Day and evening shifts
- Weekends and public holidays
- Short shifts (minimum 4 hours)
- Variable finish times depending on event operations
