As a Utility Worker at Via, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and functionality of our facilities, vehicles, and grounds. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly through a wide range of maintenance and support tasks.

On-the-job training is provided , and no prior transit experience is required. This is in person at our Fort Walton Beach location

What You'll Do:

- Upkeep, sanitize, and detail buses and support vehicles to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for riders and staff.

- Perform general building and grounds upkeep, including custodial tasks and minor repairs, ensuring facilities are clean, orderly, and operating safely.

- Support the operations team with miscellaneous responsibilities as they arise, including moving equipment, organizing workspaces, and assisting with special projects.

- Additional duties will be discussed during the interview and may evolve based on operational needs.

Who You Are:

- Hold a valid driver’s license.

- Dynamic; willing to wear multiple hats and work on projects of all types.

- An action-oriented executor: you take initiative to solve problems and get the job done.

- Successful completion of a drug test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle records check is mandatory for employment.

- Able to pass a pre-employment physical.

- Pass a drug screening and background check: no felonies, clean MVR, no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions, and no more than 2 speeding tickets.

- At least 21 years old.

Compensation and Benefits

- Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills.

- Salary: Starting at $22.33/hour

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
