Treston Security Services is currently hiring a professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented Unarmed Security Officer for a commercial property in Downtown Los Angeles. This position requires a strong security presence, attention to detail, and the ability to follow all company policies and site-specific post orders.

Position Details

Position: Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Pay Rate: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: Immediately
Parking: Provided

Schedule:

- Saturday: 0600–1430

- Sunday: 0600–1430

- Monday: 1400–2230

- Tuesday: 1400–2230

Applicants must be available to work the complete schedule.

Required Uniform:

- Security uniform shirt

- Black tactical pants

- Black shoes

- Black belt

Job Responsibilities

- Verify and authorize access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.

- Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points.

- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the property.

- Pay close attention to parking areas, blind spots, and other high-risk locations.

- Monitor CCTV cameras and report suspicious behavior or activity.

- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and safety concerns.

- Maintain control of property keys and access cards.

- Complete accurate daily activity reports and detailed incident reports.

- Assist with vehicle inspections and parking enforcement when required.

- Follow established emergency and evacuation procedures.

- Communicate effectively with property management, supervisors, emergency services, and law enforcement.

- Provide professional and courteous customer service to employees, visitors, and authorized personnel.

- Maintain a professional appearance and remain alert throughout the entire shift.

- Refrain from using personal electronic devices while on duty.

Qualifications

- Must possess a valid California BSIS Guard Card.

- Previous security experience is preferred.

- Commercial property, office building, or warehouse security experience is a plus.

- Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills.

- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or confrontational situations.

- Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods.

- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to report to work in the required uniform.

- Must follow all company policies, supervisor instructions, and site-specific post orders.
