Treston Security Services is hiring experienced Unarmed Security Officers for SRO-style residential properties in the Skid Row area of Downtown Los Angeles.

Pay: $20.00–$22.00/hr DOE
Location: Skid Row / Downtown Los Angeles, CA
Shifts: Morning, Swing & Graveyard available
Parking: Provided

Position Overview

We are seeking professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officers to provide a highly visible security presence at residential/SRO-style properties in Downtown Los Angeles.

This position requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to appropriately handle challenging interactions and security incidents.

Responsibilities

- Maintain a professional and visible security presence

- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols

- Monitor entrances, exits, common areas, and surrounding property

- Assist with access control and unauthorized-person prevention

- Observe, document, and report suspicious activity and security concerns

- Professionally address disturbances and property-related incidents

- Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques when appropriate

- Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies

- Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports

- Communicate effectively with supervisors, property staff, residents, and visitors

- Follow all post orders and Treston Security Services policies and procedures

Required Qualifications & Equipment

Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:

- Valid California Guard Card – PHYSICAL CARD REQUIRED

- Candidates must have their physical Guard Card in their possession. Providing only a license number or online verification will not meet the requirements for this position.

- Must possess at least one less-lethal defensive tool with the applicable certification, permit, or training required for that equipment

- Must be able to provide the physical less-lethal certification/permit

- Reliable transportation

- Dependable attendance and punctuality

- Strong communication and verbal de-escalation skills

- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

Previous security experience is strongly preferred. Experience working in residential, SRO, supportive housing, Skid Row, or similar environments is a plus.
