SUMMARY

The Senior Litigation / Electronic Discovery Support Specialist provides advanced litigation support and electronic discovery services in support of federal litigation matters. This position works closely with the Litigation Support Manager, attorneys, and trial teams to manage the collection, processing, conversion, loading, quality control, and production of electronically stored information (ESI). The role also provides technical support, user training, and courtroom trial  assistance  while ensuring compliance with established electronic discovery standards, policies, and procedures.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support the Litigation Support Manager and legal teams with litigation support and electronic discovery operations.

- Perform hands-on electronic file manipulation, conversion, modification, and preparation of files for upload into commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and litigation support applications.

- Receive, process, and manage a variety of electronic files, including email files, native files, digital images, audio/video files, and load-ready production data.

- Import, process, OCR, export, load, update, and  maintain  electronic discovery data using approved eDiscovery processing tools and litigation support databases.

- Convert audio and video content into formats suitable for production, review, and trial presentation.

- Assist  with database loading, retrieval, and maintenance activities to support case management and document review efforts.

- Modify and manipulate data and files for use in litigation  support  applications, including the development and use of scripts when necessary.

- Conduct quality assurance reviews of electronic file processing and production activities to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Review incoming productions for compliance with applicable ESI specifications and document any deficiencies for corrective action.

- Prepare and export productions  in accordance with  ESI requirements, court directives, and internal standards.

- Maintain detailed task logs and ensure work is completed in  a timely ,  accurate , and cost-effective manner.

- Provide help desk support for litigation support software through phone, email, and in-person  assistance .

- Train attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on litigation  support  applications, workflows, and established procedures.

- Support trial teams by preparing demonstrative exhibits,  assisting  with courtroom presentation technology, and providing on-site courtroom support during trials when  required .

- Develop and implement ad hoc scripts and technical solutions to improve operational efficiency and support organizational  objectives .

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

- Associate’s degree in Information Technology , Computer Science, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

- Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing electronic discovery functions, including electronic file processing, image and data file conversion, quality assurance, database loading, data retrieval, and document review support.

- Experience supporting litigation teams, legal case management, or electronic discovery operations preferred.

- Experience with eDiscovery and document review platforms such as Relativity, Eclipse,  Everlaw , NUIX,  eScanIT ,  CloudNine  LAW, or similar applications is highly desirable.

KNOWLEDGE,  SKILLS  AND ABILITIES

- Working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.

- Proficiency  with Microsoft Office Suite applications.

- Knowledge of networked computer systems, databases, and printing technologies.

- Understanding of  the litigation discovery process and  Electronic  Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) workflow.

- Working knowledge of document review and eDiscovery processing platforms.

- Ability to process, convert, import, export, and manage large volumes of electronic data and documents.

- Strong quality assurance and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective user support.

- Ability to develop,  modify , and  utilize  scripts to automate or improve litigation support processes.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver training and technical guidance to users.

- Ability to  maintain  confidential and sensitive information while adhering to legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
