HVAC Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

- Supervise and support HVAC installation and service technicians.

- Provide daily direction, coaching, and performance feedback.

- Conduct ride-alongs, field inspections, and quality control checks.

- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.

- Promote a positive team environment focused on accountability and professionalism.

Operations

- Coordinate daily workflow and technician assignments.

- Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.

- Monitor job progress and assist technicians with troubleshooting technical issues.

- Review completed work for quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

- Ensure compliance with local building codes, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures.

Customer Service

- Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.

- Communicate with customers regarding project status, scheduling, and expectations.

- Ensure technicians provide courteous, clean, and professional service at every job site.

- Support the company's commitment to outstanding customer satisfaction.

Financial Performance

- Monitor department productivity and labor efficiency.

- Assist in controlling material costs and reducing callbacks.

- Review estimates and change orders as needed.

- Support sales opportunities by identifying customer needs for equipment replacement, maintenance agreements, and system upgrades.

Safety & Compliance

- Enforce all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.

- Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks.

- Ensure proper use and maintenance of company vehicles, tools, and equipment.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Administrative Duties

- Complete employee evaluations and disciplinary documentation when necessary.

- Monitor technician timekeeping and productivity.

- Coordinate inventory needs with warehouse personnel.

- Prepare reports related to department performance and job completion.

- Attend management meetings and assist in strategic planning.

Qualifications

Required

- Minimum 7 years of HVAC installation and/or service experience.

- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

- Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems.

- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

- EPA Certification required.

- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

- Proficiency with mobile field service software and basic computer applications.

Preferred

- NATE Certification.

- Arizona HVAC experience.

- Experience with dispatching or scheduling software.

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
