JOB SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for selling IDEXX products and services to customers and prospects through a variety of channels including voice, email, web and chat. This role focuses on identifying and generating demand while building and maintaining strong, trust-based customer relationships over time.

The Inside Sales Representative partners with other Inside Sales professionals and cross-functional teams to leverage the breadth of the IDEXX portfolio, promotional offerings and a targeted sales strategy. Through a consultative and customer-focused approach, this role contributes to profitable revenue growth and high levels of customer satisfaction.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prioritize and make calls to prospects and existing customers .

- Coordinate sales opportunities that span   multiple IDEXX products, especially reference laboratory services involving multiple IDEXX commercial representatives.

- Maintain contact   database   with   accurate   profiles,   notes   and opportunity information.

- Successfully complete IDEXX training on our markets, our products and selling skills.

- Coordinate efforts with field sales team to   retain ,   acquire   and grow account   base .

- Ensures   complete and   timely   information about customer accounts is available to decision makers to yield effective business strategies and outcomes.

- May attend industry shows in   territory   as necessary.

EDUCATION:

- Bachelor’s degree

EXPERIENCE:

- Min 2  years of working   experience

- Customer   interacting   experience   is   preferred

- Experience in animal health industry highly valued, pharmaceuticals, medical   devices   or related industries also desired

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- High comfort with both outbound and inbound sales activity, combining   account strategy   with attention to detail.

- Strong   communications   skills   including   writing,   listening   and questioning.

- Sales ability / persuasiveness.

- Strong interpersonal skills with   ability   to   establish   rapport quickly, build and   maintain   relationships.

- Capability to absorb and articulate technical information.

- Highly motivated and goal oriented.

- Strong organizational skills, especially in a multi-tasking environment.

- Effective time management skills to ensure desired business outcomes

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent   proficiency   in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).

- Ability to   leverage   CRM data   (Salesforce)   and sales analytics to drive account strategy

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Extensive sitting or standing, phone and computer use.

- Domestic travel may be   required   approximately 1 –2 times per month.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Office   environment.

LEVELING GUIDE:

- Has developed specialized skills through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.

- Work typically involves technical skills and/or administrative duties within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.

- Completes work with   limited   degree of supervision.
