Shared Responsibilities (Both Profiles)

- Support the production team in diagnosing problems, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions
- Participate in the commissioning and ramp-up of new production equipment and processes
- Contribute to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement activities on the shop floor
- Organize your daily work independently and proactively in coordination with your team
- Create and maintain documentation — standard work instructions, checklists, and training materials
- Train colleagues on new workflows, procedures, and equipment operation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams

Process Focus

- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and workflows to improve quality, yield, and cycle time
- Support product start-ups and product changes by defining and validating standard work steps
- Monitor process parameters and KPIs, identify deviations, and initiate corrective actions
- Conduct process trials and support Design of Experiments (DOE) together with process engineers
- Ensure process adherence and quality standards on the production line

Equipment Focus

- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production equipment to minimize downtime
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, including inspections, part replacements, and calibrations
- Monitor equipment performance (uptime, recurring faults) and escalate systemic issues to engineering
- Identify critical spare parts and support inventory management to prevent extended downtime
- Support equipment modifications, upgrades, and the installation of new production machinery

Required

- Completed vocational training (Ausbildung) in process engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electronics, automation technology, industrial mechanics, or a comparable field — alternatively, equivalent hands-on experience and demonstrated technical ability
- Experience working in a production environment, ideally in high-volume manufacturing
- Hands-on mentality — you are comfortable working directly with machinery and production processes
- Willingness to work in a shift model
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office; familiarity with production systems is a plus)
- Fluent German and English skills

Preferred

- Experience in battery, automotive, electronics, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, food, chemical, or plastics manufacturing
- Familiarity with production technologies such as automated assembly, robotics, vision systems, mixing, coating, or dispensing equipment
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or structured problem-solving methods (5-Why, Ishikawa)
- Experience creating or improving standard work documentation
