About this role

Purple Land Management (PLM) is seeking a skilled Division Order Analyst for a specialized, project-based role supporting one of our valued clients in Houston, Texas. This position will focus on compiling, organizing, and validating lease, ownership, and deck data to ensure accuracy and consistency across records.
The ideal candidate will bring a high level of technical expertise in title and division order analysis, with experience calculating ownership interests, verifying title documentation, and confirming division orders with precision and attention to detail.

This is an on-site position working closely with our client in Houston, TX  (City Center/Memorial area).

Responsibilities

- Review and analyze oil and gas leases

- Interpret lease provisions and contractual obligations

- Identify clauses affecting development and operations

- Summarize lease terms and prepare lease analysis reports

- Evaluate pooling, unitization, depth severance, and continuous development provisions

- Review royalty, shut-in, and lease maintenance clauses

- Support land administration and operational teams

- Maintain accurate lease records and documentation

- Communicate findings to project teams and clients

- Ensure accuracy and consistency of lease analysis deliverables

Required Qualifications

- Oil and gas lease analysis experience

- Strong understanding of lease provisions and terminology

- Experience interpreting complex contractual language

- Excellent analytical and organizational skills

- Strong written communication abilities

- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

- Must be eligible to permanently work in the United States

Preferred

- Land administration experience

- Title experience

- Division order experience

- Experience supporting development and acquisition projects

- CPL, RPL, or equivalent industry designation
