The Residential Energy Demand Generation and Marketing team plays a critical role in this mission by driving awareness and adoption of Tesla’s energy products.We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader based in Melbourne (will consider exceptional candidates in Sydney) to head our Demand Generation Programs for APAC. In this role, you will lead a regional team responsible for increasing awareness and driving sales of Tesla’s residential energy portfolio—including Powerwall, Wall Connector, and Tesla Electric. You will define and execute strategies that enable growth across direct and partner channels, working closely with Tesla Certified Installers, distributors, and sales teams across the region.
This role reports to the Head of Global Demand Generation Programs and requires close collaboration with global peers and cross-functional partners in engineering, design, web, copywriting, legal, and sales
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing APAC marketing team (6 members across the region).
• Define and execute demand generation strategies to support sales in achieving quarterly targets.
• Localize and adapt global campaigns, while designing new strategies tailored to the Australia, New Zealand and Asian market.
• Manage priorities and team scope in alignment with global leadership and regional sales.
• Oversee execution across the full marketing mix: web, SEO, AI optimization, email, paid media, press, social, content, events, trade shows, field marketing, partnerships, and influencer engagement.
• Set and align budgets, objectives, and OKRs with regional and global leadership.
• Deliver regular reporting on performance, insights, and opportunities.
• 10+ years of experience in demand generation, growth, or integrated marketing.
• Proven record of developing and executing programs that drive brand awareness, generate leads, and accelerate sales.
• Demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong ownership mindset with a results-driven approach and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience in the renewable energy sector strongly preferred.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills; fluent in English.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel ~25% (primarily in the APAC region, with occasional global trips).
