About this role
As a Homologation & Registration Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring Tesla vehicles remain compliant with national homologation and registration requirements. You will act as the primary operational interface with national authorities, supporting uninterrupted vehicle registrations and ensuring all regulatory documentation is accurate, complete, and available.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with national homologation and vehicle registration authorities.
• Coordinate all activities related to national type approval and vehicle homologation requirements.
• Manage the submission and maintenance of homologation data, including vehicle extensions required for obtaining and maintaining national type approvals.
• Prepare, validate, and maintain registration documentation to ensure timely vehicle registrations.
• Manage the inventory, tracking, and secure storage of Certificates of Conformity (CoC/eCoC) and other regulatory documents, including Green Papers.
• Coordinate payments to governmental authorities related to vehicle registrations, homologation activities, type approvals, and other regulatory fees while ensuring budget accuracy and timely processing.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure Tesla remains compliant with evolving homologation and registration legislation.
• Support cross-functional teams by providing homologation expertise during new vehicle launches and regulatory changes.
• Lead and coordinate special regulatory projects initiated by authorities, including but not limited to eCoC transitions, new registration processes and other compliance initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve registration or homologation issues by working closely with internal takeholders and external authorities.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and audit trails for all homologation and registration activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve regulatory processes, increase operational efficiency, and reduce compliance risks.
• Experience in vehicle homologation, automotive registration or a similar automotive operations role.
• Strong understanding of national vehicle registration processes and automotive compliance requirements.
• Experience working with government authorities or regulatory agencies is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when handling legal and regulatory documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple internal teams.
• Fluent Hungarian and English, both written and spoken.
