We’re  looking for an Actuarial Senior Associate   to join our Actuarial team. In this role,  you’ll  collaborate with experienced professionals who are committed to solving important challenges and delivering meaningful outcomes for our clients and communities. The applicant will form part of an energetic actuarial team, and the role would include working closely with both audit and non-audit clients in the insurance industry and the multi-disciplinary PwC insurance team   in order to   advise and provide assurance to our clients on various actuarial matters.

Your Mission:

Your career with PwC is what you make it. As our new  Actuarial Senior Associate , you will be involved in a variety of different projects, including:

- Solvency II, including the assessment of regulatory capital requirements .
- Reserving, including valuation of technical provisions in line with Solvency II principles and financial statement reserving .
- R isk management and corporate governance as they relate to our insurance clients .
- Matters   relating to the insurance license application process .
- IFRS 17 ('Insurance Contracts') concepts, including cash flow and risk adjustment estimation.

About You:

We’re  looking for someone who:

- Has demonstrable work experience (3+ years) in actuarial insurance related areas – Experience in risk and capital modelling, and a strong understanding of reserving, underwriting and catastrophe risks, including   exposure   to Solvency II regulation (review of SFCRs, SCR calculations, etc . ) .
- Has p rior Big 4 experience and experience in client-facing roles would be preferred .
- Has g ood understanding of a broad range of commonly used reserving techniques and the key reserving issues faced by the insurance industry .
- Can   communicate complex technical matters in   a clear way , h as   strong interpersonal skills and good all-round commercial awareness .
- Ha s   strong project and   financial management   skills. The ability to manage, and work in a team and deliver to budget and within timescales is an important skill .
- Is   flexible,   can   multi-task effectively and h as   strong technical, problem identification and analytical skills .
- Is s trongly committed to both personal and corporate success – Be self-motivated,   taking   responsibility for personal development in technical and broader consulting skills .
- Can handle the c oaching of junior actuarial team members .
- Has k nowledge in IFRS 17   is considered to be   an asset .
- Has q ualification by the   IFoA   (or equivalent)   is considered to be   an asset .
