Commissary Prep Cook Responsibilities
As a Prep Cook, you will play an essential role in our commissary kitchen:
- Food Preparation & Cooking : Wash, chop, measure, and cook ingredients to support daily production and large-scale catering menus.
- Menu Execution : Work with Party Chefs to prepare appetizers, salads, entrees, sides, and more, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Kitchen Organization : Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Event Support : Assist in preparing food for Chicago's top catering events, ensuring all orders are accurate and ready for transport.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with fellow prep cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
- Previous prep cook, line cook, or kitchen experience preferred.
- Strong knife skills and ability to follow recipes.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume kitchen.
- This is a high volume kitchen, you will be working on your feet the entire day.
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and be around high temperatures.
