About this role

Message Center Lead will oversee a team of four Message Center operators in a structured environment with operations 24/7/365. Will be responsible for Message Center operations including work completed and accounted for, EKMS inventory, and other duties as assigned. The position works in a SCIF with no access to personal electronics. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Inventory and maintain strict accountability for Local Element CMS/EKMS and other associated classified materials.

- Receive, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing Naval and civilian message traffic for the AUTEC Project

- Supervise team of 4 Message Center Operators working 24/7/365 to ensure compliance with government and contractor directives.

- Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate technical and management personnel.

- Maintain and establish telephone communications as required including adherence to proper procedures and record keeping.

- Loading classified material utilizing electronic devices and adherence to stringent COMSEC procedures.

- As necessary must be able to cover for Message Center Employees during 12-hour shift.

- Maintain access to required publications and directives and place order for supply, as necessary.

- Conduct on the job training for new staff and perform periodic updates.

- Perform other duties as assigned, required or directed.

Minimum Requirements:

- High school graduate/equivalent or better.

- 3-5 years related experience working in an office environment.

- Ability to pass Message Center Communications Qualifications requirements within 60 days of hire.

- Maintain and sustain training and level of knowledge requirements in associated administrative and limited technical disciplines.

- Adapt to a rotating shift schedule (12-hour increments).

- Maintain a consistent high standard of professionalism with customers and coworkers.

- Able to follow a structured chain of command.

- Demonstration of consistent excellent customer service skills required.

- Occasionally lift/pull/push up to and including 40 pounds of office supplies.

- Frequently exposed to circuit noise and periodic alarms in the Message Center.

- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows 11 or later and MS Outlook.

- Consistent excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Able to read and interpret government directives for CMS/EKMS control.

- This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance; US Citizenship is required

- Must be willing to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.

- A valid Driver's License and US Passport is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Military Message Center/EKMS experience desired and preferred.

- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of applications

- 2-3 years of experience leading a team in a structured environment.
