Birch Mountain Enterprises (BME) is hiring experienced Hydrovac Operators for a Temporary 3 month contract, with the potential to become full-time. 14/7 Shift schedule, Days and Nights. (NO flights, NO Camp)

Job Summary:

Operating from our  Clients site location Fort McMurray t he Hydro Vac Operator  position involves the safe operation o f  a tri-drive hydro  Vac  unit.    Operators should be mechanically inclined  and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather.   Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous hydro-vac experience  in the industrial sector .

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Operate  Tri-drive hydro  Vac  units  in a safe and efficient  manner  
- Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all  weather  
- Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to daily  log books , customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections  
- Follow instructions for tasks assigned  by  Dispatch or   Supervisor  
- Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company  image
- Attend daily  tool box  and safety meetings as scheduled  and  adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Possess a v alid Class 3  operator’s license with clean driver’s  abstract  
- Minimum  3 years experience (including up to 18 speed manual class 1 equipment)
- Previous (or related) experience operating  hydro  Vac units  
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- OSSA (or OSSA BSO /CSO ) and CSTS certification
- H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, Confined space and fall protection  certification
- Must be able to complete online training. 
- Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D&A and fit for duty pre-employment  screening
