Position Overview
The Cloud Platform Engineer 3 provides technical expertise in the planning, integration, performance, and improvement of cloud-based platforms and distributed virtual environments.
Responsibilities
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for different cloud-based platforms.
- Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications.
- Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes.
- Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues.
- Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise.
- Develops technical solutions to complex problems.
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.
Required Certifications
- IAT-2 certification required.
- One or more cloud certifications required.
Clearance Requirement
- Active Secret clearance required.
