HVAC Technician Job Description:

PrideStaff is currently working with a facilities management solutions company that is in need of an  HVAC Technician to join their team. The HVAC Technician will provide maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems in support of their clients’ needs. The ideal HVAC Technician has a related license and applicable training and experience in HVAC maintenance in an institutional setting. The HVAC Technician is a full-time, direct-hire position in N. Charleston, SC.
 
HVAC Technician  Job Responsibilities:

Perform Preventative Maintenance and Non-Complex Reactive Repairs

Document & Update Work Status in the CMMS System Using a Mobile Device

Assist in Project Management & Determining Manpower & Material Needs & Assigning Deadlines for Projects

Troubleshoot, Diagnose, Clean, Lubricate, Service & Repair HVAC Electrical & Mechanical Building Systems Including Sterilizers, Food Service Equipment, Sprinkler & Standpipe Systems, Transport Systems & Electronic Signaling Systems, Fire Alarm Systems & Specialty Equipment Items

Recommend Repairs & Report Major Problems to the Appropriate Manager or Supervisor

Review Outside Vendor Projects & Make Punch List

Analyze & Correct Complex Building System Problems & Electro/Mechanical Problems Related to utilities

Make Emergency Repairs & Respond to Emergency Problems in the Facility as Needed

Update and Maintain Logs, Perform Rounds & Complete Tests & Inspections

Keep Shop & Mechanical Areas Clean & Always Perform Work in a Safe Manner

Other Duties as Assigned

HVAC Technician Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience as a Maintenance Technician in an Institutional Setting

At Least One of the Following: Journeyman Electrical License, Registered ACR Technician with EPA Certification in Refrigerant, or a Journeyman Plumber License

Strong Troubleshooting Skills & Ability to Identify Parts & Materials Needed is Required

Experience Reading & Understanding Blueprints & Schematics

Should Have a General Understanding of Electro-Mechanical Equipment

The Ability to Use Hand-Operated Construction Equipment

Must be Able to kneel/Bend/Stoop/Stand for Extended Periods of Time and Repeatedly Lift to 50 Lbs

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $26.00 - $36.00
