College to Corporate IT Internship - Application Development (TX)

In this internship, you will:

- Design, build, and enhance applications that support Vanguard’s internal systems and client-facing platforms

- Participate in the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment

- Work with modern technologies and tools in an Agile/LEAN team environment

- Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and business partners to deliver impactful solutions

- Contribute ideas, solve problems, and drive outcomes both independently and as part of a team

- Build connections with peers, mentors, and leaders across Vanguard

- Receive ongoing coaching and feedback to support your development

What it takes:

- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field (required)

- Strong interest in application development, including web, mobile, or backend systems

- Familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

- Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment

- Demonstrated leadership skills and/or leadership aspirations

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

- Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (preferred)

- This is a full-time, paid 10-week summer internship
