About the Opportunity
A Calgary practice with an active restructuring and insolvency group is seeking an associate to join its team, working on a range of corporate restructuring, receivership, and insolvency matters — an area of sustained demand in the Alberta market.

Key Responsibilities

- Support restructuring, receivership, and insolvency proceedings
- Draft pleadings, court materials, and creditor/stakeholder communications
- Conduct legal research on insolvency and secured transactions law
- Attend court appearances and stakeholder negotiations
- Collaborate with senior counsel on complex multi-party files

Qualifications

- Called to the Bar in Alberta, in good standing
- 1-5 years of experience in restructuring, insolvency, or related commercial litigation
- Strong analytical, research, and drafting skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-moving files
- Interest in building a specialized restructuring practice
