About this role

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Beamline Operator to operate our PythonX Beam Machine, LS Industries Blaster, and associated material handling equipment including overhead cranes and powered industrial trucks. This role plays a vital part in the fabrication process by ensuring structural steel components are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain the PythonX Beamline Machine, ensuring precision cuts, holes, and marks on structural steel.

- Operate the LS Industries Shot Blaster to clean and prepare steel beams for fabrication or finishing.

- Load, unload, and maneuver raw materials and finished components using overhead cranes, forklifts, and other powered equipment.

- Interpret fabrication drawings, work orders, and technical instructions to ensure accurate processing.

- Perform basic machine troubleshooting and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Monitor machine outputs to verify compliance with specifications and tolerances.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following all company safety policies and procedures.

- Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality inspectors to meet production goals.

- Log production data, equipment checks, and maintenance activities as required.

- Other duties as assigned or appropriate.

Qualifications

Required:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Experience operating CNC machinery, beamlines, or similar automated fabrication equipment.

- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and fabrication drawings.

- Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts

- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

- Commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Preferred:

- Prior experience with the PythonX Structural Fabrication System.

- Experience using industrial blasters.

- Familiarity with structural steel fabrication and material identification.
