The Role

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance of the aircraft return to service process, by reviewing all associated paperwork related to unscheduled/scheduled maintenance events.

This position contributes to safety, reliability, and economy by performing daily Return-to-Service activities, maintaining electronic maintenance tracking, and continuously surveilling/auditing maintenance by effectively utilizing processes, procedures, data bases and electronic equipment.

Primary Duties

- Validate compliance for aircraft return-to-service.

- Update and maintain accuracy of aircraft maintenance tracking databases.

- Assist the Maintenance Control & Quality Departments with reviews and audits.

- Assist Quality Department in ascertaining that maintenance documentation is properly maintained, accurate, and retrievable.

- Assist the Quality Manager with paperwork audits, internal compliance monitoring, documentation reviews, and related quality assurance activities. Work with maintenance vendors to ensure their work and documentation is complete.

- Ensure RTS duties are completed in a timely manner, supporting reduced work order durations.

- Help create, revise, and maintain Maintenance Control forms and other quality-related forms and procedures to ensure accuracy, usability, and regulatory compliance.

- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Quality department.

- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time.

Skills & Qualifications

- Trained in Auditing, Risk Assessment, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action, and Human Factors.

- A valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with airframe and powerplant ratings is required.

- Maintain safety sensitive employee status in the company’s FAA-approved Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.

- Strong knowledge of software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows Office Suite/Outlook Word, Excel, PowerPoint and be able to utilize the Internet.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to sit, stand, bend or kneel for extended periods of time.
