About this role

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and lead a team of chargehands, assistant supervisors and sub-contractors to perform on-site hull painting, cleaning and ‘O’ level task activities

- Assist in manpower and resource scheduling and deployment, daily man hour returns and coordinate in all aspects of site issues

- Update daily manpower deployment record and over time

- Liaise with owners and paint representative and surveyor on complying with paint specification and requirements

- Attend the daily VSCC meeting if necessary

- Obtain entry into confined space permits or any other work permit system.

- Inspect and update check list

- Monitor job progress and ensure quality work at targeted schedule

- Prepare reports on job status and project completion

- Inspect vessels and ensure proper handling over to customers

- Liaise and coordinate with other departments on project issues

- Update weekly progress and attend meeting

Requirements:

- NTC/Diploma in any Engineering field

- At least 5 years working experience in a shipyard or similar environment

- Possess FROSIO, SSPC or NACE would be advantageous

- Knowledge of Blasting and Painting operation

- Able to interpret technical drawings and paint specifications

- Able to make decision, render judgment and take appropriate actions

- Able to work under pressure and respond to changes on short notice

Other Information:

- Location: 55 Gul Road (Island-wide transport provided)

- 5 days work week

- Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
