About the job: We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to manage and optimise our AWS and Azure client environments. You will work closely with the Solutions Architect to ensure our infrastructure - including networking, DNS, and WAF configuration - runs smoothly, securely, and cost-effectively across multiple clients.
Responsibilities: · Manage and maintain multiple AWS and Azure client environments based on client requirements and expectations. · Work with the Solutions Architect on cloud architecture, infrastructure planning, and cost-effective AWS/Azure solution design. · Manage AWS services including EC2, ECS, VPC, ALB, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, Lambda and CloudWatch. · Manage relevant Azure services including Virtual Machines, App Services, Container Apps, networking, storage, and databases. · Manage DNS, CDN, and Web Application Firewall (WAF) configuration using Cloudflare, including record management, traffic routing, and security rules. · Perform server maintenance, OS upgrades, and security patching, and troubleshoot Linux, Docker, and ECS workloads. · Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, logs, and alerts, proactively resolving issues. · Use Terraform / Infrastructure as Code to provision infrastructure and identify cost optimization opportunities. · Support backup, disaster recovery, security, and compliance requirements. · Maintain infrastructure documentation and provide technical support to internal teams and clients.
Skills: · Proven experience as a Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer managing production AWS and Azure environments. · In-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure core services (EC2/ECS, VPC, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, CloudWatch; Azure VMs, App Services, Container Apps, networking, storage). · Hands-on experience with Cloudflare (or equivalent) for DNS, CDN, and WAF administration. · Experience with security best practices (IAM, Security Groups, RBAC), patch management, backup, and disaster recovery. · Proficiency with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tooling. · Strong Linux administration skills, Docker/ECS experience, and solid networking fundamentals. · Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation. · Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS code build). · Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support internal teams and clients directly.
Nice to Have: · Experience with container orchestration Kubernetes. · AWS or Azure certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect, Administrator Associate). · Basic knowledge of Azure Active Directory, role-based access control (RBAC), and Azure Networking
