Role Overview / Purpose and Scope

The Safety Coordinator helps support a strong, proactive safety culture by working directly with supervisors, leads, and employees to identify and address safety concerns throughout the facility. This position is highly floor-focused and requires active visibility in the production environment, with at least 80% of working time spent on the production floor conducting observations, supporting employee communication, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring corrective actions are completed timely .

Key Responsibilities

- Spend a minimum of 80% of working time actively present on the production floor.

- Conduct safety observations, inspections, and audits.

- Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and ensure corrective actions are completed.

- Assist with incident investigations and documentation.

- Support safety training, huddles, and employee communication.

- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.

- Monitor compliance with company safety policies and procedures.

- Work directly with supervisors, leads, and employees to address safety concerns.

- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture throughout the facility.

- Follow up on corrective actions and ensure safety concerns are addressed timely.

Compensation :   $62,000

Qualifications

- Previous safety experience required.

- Strong computer skills, including comfort with safety documentation, reporting, and data entry.

- Willing and available to work either 1st or 2nd shift.

- Able to spend at least 80% of working time on the production floor.

- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

- Willing to work in a fast-paced production environment.

- Accountable, organized, proactive, and comfortable holding others accountable for safe work practices.

New team members must be able to pass a drug,   alcohol   and background screening post-offer and prior to the start of their employment.   The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires that verification of employment eligibili ty be documented for all new employees by the end of their third day of work.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel

This is not a primarily office-based position. The Safety Coordinator is expected to be present on the production floor for at least 80% of working time and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Minimal travel may be required as needed .
