About this role
The Hacienda Mission San Luis Rey is seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and cookware are cleaned efficiently to support smooth kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, and cookware using commercial dishwashing equipment and by hand as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen workspaces.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables properly and keep dumpster area clean.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and kitchen cleaning duties as required.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a hygienic work environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or broken equipment to management promptly.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a dishwasher or similar role preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
