Key Responsibilities & Primary Duties
- Must be able to work Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 1:30-5:00 pm and Wednesdays 12:30-5:00 pm
- Utilizes knowledge appropriate to satisfy the Distinguishing Characteristics of the class listed above, examples of which may include familiarity with teaching methods, instructional media, test scoring, school organization, and school rules and regulations.
- Demonstrates competency in performing the following tasks: working with pupils who have been designated non-severely impaired by an IEP, acting quickly and effectively in emergencies, working with and relating to all individuals within the culturally diverse environment of school community
- developing and maintaining effective, courteous communications with pupils, staff and public.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of proven experience and ability in working in education and/or youth programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the best practices in youth development program planning, curriculum development, methods of teaching, and evaluation.
- BA or BS required.
- TB test clearance is mandatory prior to hire.
- Experience working in communities of color with low-income populations.
