What we need

We are looking for a   Fullstack   Engineer   to join our   Cloud Tool and Application Team   within our   Software Engineering organization . Your job will be to design, build, and   maintain   modern cloud-based applications, backend services, and user-facing platforms that support warehouse automation, digital twin, simulation, and robotics operations. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions that power   Symbotic's   next-generation automation systems.

What we do

The   Cloud Tool and Application Team   is part of the   Software Engineering organization , which   is responsible for   building the software platforms, tools, and services that power   Symbotic's   industry-leading warehouse automation solutions. Our team develops cloud-native applications,   monitoring   platforms, digital twin technologies, simulation systems, and operational tools that enable real-time visibility, diagnostics, fleet management, and business-critical engineering workflows across our robotics ecosystem .

What   you’ll   do

- Design, develop, and   maintain   modern   fullstack   web applications (React, Next.js), backend services (Node.js), APIs, and cloud-based tools for digital twin and simulation systems.

- Support real-time data visualization, monitoring dashboards, playback tools, diagnostic tools, and operational workflows for robotics and warehouse automation platforms.

- Implement highly secure and scalable data pipelines to ingest data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data used to update digital twin models.

- Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure to support digital twin simulations, including storage, computing resources, and network connectivity.

- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product stakeholders, robotics engineers, cloud engineers, QA engineers, data engineers, and operational users to translate business and technical needs into practical application features.

- Work with cloud infrastructure, databases, messaging systems, and data pipelines to ensure applications are scalable, reliable, secure, and performant.

- Participate in application deployment, CI/CD, production support, troubleshooting, and system performance optimization.

- Support integration with simulation, digital twin, telemetry, diagnostics, fleet management, and AI-powered enterprise automation workflows where needed.

- Maintain clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, API specifications, deployment guides, and operational notes.

- Stay up to date with modern frontend, backend, cloud application, data visualization, security, and AI-assisted development technologies.

- Perform other related duties as reasonably assigned by the direct manager or the Employer.

What   you’ll   need

- 2+ years of professional experience in   fullstack   software development, with strong experience across both frontend and backend platforms.

- Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frontend frameworks such as React.js and Next.js.

- Solid experience designing and building scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, real-time services, and cloud-based applications.

- Experience building modern web applications with strong attention to usability, performance, maintainability, and reliability.

- Experience with   frontend   data visualization, dashboard development, or complex web-based user interfaces.

- Experience with web-based 3D rendering or visualization technologies such as   WebGL, Three.js, or   WebGPU   is preferred.

- Experience with data processing pipelines, event-driven systems, real-time data streams, or high-volume telemetry data.

- Familiarity with cloud development and deployment on platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and/or Microsoft Azure.

- Experience working with databases and data platforms such as MongoDB, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or similar systems.

- Experience with messaging and streaming systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ,   ZeroMQ , NATS, or similar technologies.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, deployment automation, monitoring, logging, and modern DevOps practices.

- Plus: Experience with robotics, warehouse automation, digital twin platforms, simulation systems, IoT, telemetry systems, or operational data platforms.

- Plus: Experience supporting AI-powered, data-driven, or enterprise automation workflows.

- Plus: Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar tools.

- Good teamwork, communication, time management, ownership, and problem-solving skills.

- Working   proficiency   in verbal and written English, with the ability to communicate independently in an international environment and clearly present technical concepts, findings, risks, and recommendations to leadership stakeholders.

Our   E nvironment

- Up to 10% of travel may be   required . Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

- Employees may   be required   to use a personal credit card for business travel expenses, which are reimbursed based on the program guidelines. Eligible employees may receive a corporate credit card based on role and travel requirements, but a personal credit card may be needed during onboarding until the corporate card is issued.
