- Manage several repositories of PDKs, IPs, and multiple tools from multiple vendors
- Advise design IT leadership with methodology enhancements and future planning
- Keep up with advancements in industry tools that are relevant to our goals
- Where necessary or advantageous, develop custom tools/scripts/plug-ins that are easily adopted by users
What you'll bring
- Deep understanding of the Cadence tool flow is required
- Analog / Mixed-signal design tools (Virtuoso, AMS, Spectre)
- Layout/signoff (PVS/Pegasus, Calibre)
- Synthesis/APR/Physical design (Genus, Innovus / DDI)
- Revision control experience and methodology recommendations (perforce/versIC)
- Internal and external IP management
- Supporting multiple PDKs simultaneously
- Familiarity with TSMC and GF preferred
- Scripting & automation: Python, Perl, Tcl, Bash/Shell, SKILL; automating EDA flows, tool setup, regression runs, log parsing, environment configuration, and design-data processing.
- License management: FlexNet/FlexLM administration and troubleshooting, including license-server configuration, lmstat/lmutil diagnostics, feature availability, checkout failures, queueing, utilization monitoring, and vendor-daemon issues.
- EDA infrastructure support: Linux/Unix environment troubleshooting, LSF/Slurm/Grid Engine compute-farm integration, environment modules, tool-version management, and debugging interactions between EDA applications, compute infrastructure, and license servers.
- CAD flow development: Development and support of scripted flows integrating tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Xcelium, Synopsys, or Siemens EDA with internal automation, regression, and verification infrastructure.
- Demonstrated history of solving problems for EDA users
- Nice-to-haves:
- Remote computing support experience (ETX)
